ELK has been supporting local efforts to establish an adaptive category for high school track and field through the Michigan High School Athletic Association. Now that there IS an adaptive category, we feel that it is our job to make sure that kids who want to participate on their school teams have the equipment they need to do just that. ELK collaborated with the Copper Country Intermediate School District's Career and Technical Education Welding class, who built us a field chair to use for adaptive shot put and discus.
